It has been fully restored and seasoned 3x with organic beef tallow. The surface is remarkably smooth and will darken with each repeat seasoning. The bottom has some minor sulfur pitting from being used on a wood stove which was par for the course back then. It sits flat and has full contact with glass surfaces.
