18th Century Bronze of Buddha & Muchalinda Obelisks there are very minor marksAn imposing 18th Century Thai bronze of Buddha seated on the curled tail of the serpent king, Muchalinda. This well modelled and beautifully patinated antique bronze sculpture depicts Buddha being protected during a storm by the serpent king Muchalinda whose seven heads rise to form a protective canopy over the deity. The sculpture stands well with no wobbles and the quality is very good. We think this sculpture has probably been set onto a stone
