E Van Meerbeck Sampler Pattern patternKeeper I love the colors ofThis early 19th century Dutch sampler is 11 x 9 inches and was stitched on a pale gray 12 ct canvas type material. Miss "E" loved to drag threads across the back. By the time she got to the end of her sampler, it appears she did not leave enough room for her full name. It makes the sampler so charming and endearing. I love all the imperfections. I kept them all! She was probably quite young when she stitched this. This was most likely a teaching
