William experiments with new textures to evoke the deer as it appears partially hidden, fragmented and indistinct, glimpsed through brush, grasses, crops, and all the elements that obscure and distort the view in the wild. William Montgomery is a self taught sculptor drawn to the tactile, three dimensional
