so I guess my point is, if someone has made the effort fair enough, if they look like shit, it elevates whose who actually know how to put together a suit/outfit, and if they look great then its a win win, my dad is like this, wants to go to every tux event in his scrubby sweats, always puts on his 20 year old supermarket suit, and always looks great, I never really thought about it but even though his ingredients are poor quality, he always leaves the house clean shaven, smelling great and fresh, maybe its is his fatherly aura, but I think not he just pulls it off, where as I could have a 5000 suit and still look like shit, some people suit it others dont lol Im rambling sorry, hope it makes sense J You make a good point the dress code isnt the MAIN thing at these events
